Cash Incentive for remittances to Bangladesh

The Government of Bangladesh is offering 2% cash incentive to attract remittances into Bangladesh.

To participate, beneficiaries will need to apply through their bank in Bangladesh.

Beneficiaries will need to provide remitter’s documentation directly to their bank in Bangladesh for amounts over 5,00,000 Taka (Five Lakh).

Instant available cash ready to pick up from the 1213 Sonali Bank Ltd branches in Bangladesh.

ReadyCash enables the beneficiary to collect money from the cash counter of any Sonali Bank Ltd branch in Bangladesh the next working day between 10am – 4pm (Sunday to Thursday).

This service is available over the counter, phone and online with no additional service charge.

All they will need is a proof of identification and the PIN number we provide you.

1) Select the ReadyCash option and enter their chosen:

   SBL Branch, Form of Identification and their Phone Number

2) Send them the PIN we provide you

3) Your beneficiary shows their chosen SBL branch an  ID and provides them the PIN number.

4) Beneficiary receives the full amount of cash in their hand.

To Register you will need…

You will be requested to provide one of the following to register:

Proof of Identification (x1)

Valid Passport (British/European)

Valid UK Driving licence*

Valid non UK Passport (along with a Biometric Card)

Proof of Address (x1)

Valid UK Photo Driving Licence*

Bank / Credit card statement**

Utility Bill (e.g. Gas, electricity, water bill)**

Council tax or a HMRC notification

Vehicle registration or tax

*Documents can be provided either as pr oof of ID or proof of address, not as both

Send up to £4,000 a year when you first sign up

A 12 month rollover limit of £4,000 will be applied to your account when you sign up. To raise your limit, all you have to do is send us a  Increase your limit request via the App, Online Portal, over the phone or come visit us.

In order to increase your limit you will need to provide us your proof of income* dated in the last 3 months.

*you may be asked to provide more details for our team to carry out the necessary checks.
